Opportunities for service
Grace members serve Christ by serving each other and the community in
countless ways throughout the year.
Some examples
- Making lunches for PADS (the local church-sponsored homeless shelter)
- Caring for the physical and spiritual needs of Grace members through Grace
Care and Stephen Ministry
- Participating in Habitat for Humanity projects
- Volunteering for workdays at the Greater Chicago Food Depository
- Fund-raising for Amigas, a program for impoverished children in Brazil
- Providing Christmas gifts for poor mothers and children
- Preparing Cornerstones
luncheons for seniors at Grace
- Collecting school supplies and clothing for children in inner-city schools
or foster care
- Crafting items for the annual Fall Sale, which funds Grace Benevolences
- Serving the children of Grace as Sunday School teachers
- Visiting individuals in prison or driving children to visit a parent in a
downstate prison
