New Member classes usually begin in September, January and April.
New member mentors
New members are each assigned a mentor who assists them in becoming an
active participant in the life of Grace. Mentors are typically Grace members
who share a similar background or interest with a new member.
Service project
Each new member class chooses an outside service project. Recent
classes have prepared lunches for PADS (a local church-based homeless shelter),
served dinner at a half-way home, cleaned a Lutheran inner-city school and
worked with the Hope Alive project at Chicago's Cabrini-Green housing
development.
