Women of Grace
A hundred years old and still going strong, the Women of Grace
organization serves the congregation, the community
and the world, while offering Grace members opportunities for fellowship, fun
and spiritual growth. Women of all ages, in varied stages of life, work
together in the kitchen, in conference rooms and in the community.
The Annual Fall Sale
This is no ordinary church bazaar. The Annual Fall Sale, held early in
November, offers crafts, decorative items, baked goods, meat and cheese, gift
baskets, jewelry, "Attic Treasures," delicious meals and more.
Community and congregation members throng the halls, while enjoying the food and
hospitality. The money raised at this event funds over 30 benevolences, including
programs at Grace, in metropolitan Chicago and around the world.
Other examples of the Women of Grace at work:
- Grace Care provides meals and transportation for church members
in times of need.
- Cradle Roll welcomes newly baptized children and their
families
into the Grace community.
- Luncheons, breakfasts and receptions celebrate holidays, concerts
and special events in the life of the
congregation.
- Workshops, retreats and guest speakers offer opportunities for learning
and growing.
