It’s been a busy few weeks for our youngest Vikings! Students started the school year in late August and quickly adjusted to the new normal and routines.
PK students practice mindfulness through yoga and learned about the seasons through songs.
In addition to learning in the classroom, our JK students have been spending a lot of time outside. They even got an impromptu science lesson when they found a cicada!
Reading, writing, and math continue to be an important part of the curriculum for our SK students, but they've been keeping busy in many other ways. Just in the last few weeks they've made applesauce, learned about pollinators, planted a garden, and celebrated Hispanic Heritage month!
And of course, we cannot forget to mention the walk-a-thon! This year, Grace students collected over 3,100 pounds of food for Beyond Hunger and raised over $26,000 to support Grace School!
We are so proud of our early childhood students and give thanks for a wonderful start to the school year!
