Hello! Welcome to this week’s, Glimpse of Grace.
As our school
Saturday was a big win for our Cross-Country Team. There were eleven teams that competed. Our very own 3rd through 6th grade Viking
Our seventh and eighth grade girls were short a few runners in the 2–mile race, but they stayed the course and placed second! Our very own, Anna Scholtens was the overall winner. Way to go!
Run after your dreams
Our seventh and eighth- grade boys did not disappoint the spectators. In the last fifty yards of the race, Peter Armstrong and Henry Niermann and their ferocious-Grace- Viking- kicks surpassed competitors with a fierce finishing touch.
We cannot be prouder of our Grace Runners. All of them are AMAZING!
Tuesday, our Volleyball Vikings had their own test of endurance on. With three games happening in one night! This weekend all Volleyball Vikings, Varsity Boys and Girls
Sunday, we kicked off the beginning of the Sunday School year. All children were encouraged to bring their backpacks to worship for the Backpack Blessing. During the children’s sermon, we prayed blessings on the backpacks and all that the backpacks symbolize; learning, growth, and new adventures ahead. Children received a blessing charm they attached to their backpacks to remind them that God goes with them in all they do this year.
This week we took part in the 9/11 Day of Service at the 700 Bonnie Brae 9/11 Lemon AID stand through cookie contributions and service. We are reminded to be a neighborly neighbor and be of service to our community.
And that is a wrap (pun intended, as there is another cookie to eat)...
As always, stay tuned to your inbox to receive this week’s Friday Principal's Note to stay up to date with what's happening next week at Grace.
Have a blessed weekend!
