Glimpse of Grace

Thankful for our school and you!

Posted by Jennifer Beasley on

Hello! Happy Thanksgiving. This week's Glimpse of Grace post is a short one due to our short week. I must admit, coming in on Monday took some extra pushing for me and the kids. Knowing we had a two day school week and the week ending in family time and pie...was a perfect mix to want to hit snooze a few too many times. But once we walked through the doors on Monday morning and began our school and workday, the Monday mojo was found. Hoping yours was found as well.

Without further ado, let's hop (pun intended) into this week's happenings, like the frog dissections for junior high science. ***Photos are edited to ensure your appetites for Thanksgiving dinner are not disrupted.

We had our weekly chapel service a day early (on Tuesday). It was a Eucharistic Thanksgiving service.  We were reminded to Rejoice in the Lord Always, even when life gives us reasons to feel like not doing so. While the message, "count your blessings" can feel cliche and overused by some, there is truth woven into these words. A cliche I can firmly stand behind. What do you think about this?

Continuing down our cliche course, "the grass is greener on the other side" is a cliche I can not stand behind. The truth is, "the grass is greener where you water it"  and taking time to count our blessings and rejoicing in the Lord, leaves us all with the green golf course manicured grass we dream about can all have.

Our annual voting of the Turkey in Disguise was showcased on Facebook. So many creative turkeys were displayed , many were hard to identify because the disguises were so good!

Now let's wrap this post up so we can all  trot to our family and friends as we enjoy our Thanksgiving.

We are thankful for all of you,

Jenn B.
