Confirmation classes

Classes on Sunday mornings at 8:45am for children in grades 7-8 focus on preparation for confirmation. Students work with volunteer adult teachers, as well as with the pastors and adult mentors from the congregation. They affirm their baptismal vows at the beginning of their 9th-grade year, presenting a Witness Statement and participating in the Rite of Confirmation.

Students study the Bible and Martin Luther’s Small Catechism and explore and reflect upon their Lutheran Christian identity. The confirmation program also includes retreats, camp, mentorships and service projects.
