Looking at Health Care in America through the Lens of Faith
Part One: How the System Works, How It's Changing
Sunday, Nov. 11, 2:00 p.m.
Grace Lutheran Church and School
River Forest, Illinois
Sunday's Faith Perspectives forum looks at the important issue of health care in America. The program begins with a presentation on the strengths and problems of the American health care system by Nicole Kazee, a top administrator at the University of Illinois Hospitals in Chicago. Grace member John Bouman, one of the nation's most effective public benefits advocates, will explain the Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare"). Panelists from Jewish, Catholic, Protestant and Muslim traditions will react from a faith perspective in a discussion moderated by Rick Herman, president of Wheat Ridge Ministries. There will also be opportunities for small group discussions and questions.
Faith Perspectives programs provide a place for thoughtful encounters between people of faith. Please come and bring your own faith perspective to the conversation. Read more.
