Church Life: Adult Education

Adult education classes are taught by Grace members and by guests from colleges and semiinaries in the Chicago area. Topics allow class participants to explore and discuss issues in biblical scholarship, theology, spiritual growth, social justice, and culture and Christianity.

Adult Education and Bible Study

Visit the Sunday Is Coming page for this week's adult education class information and a link to the monthly class schedule.

Adult education classes convene every Sunday at Grace at 9:50 a.m., between worship services. On many Sundays, two or more classes are offered as well as Sunday morning Bible study.

Many adult education classes are part of a multi-week series. Coffee and lively conversation are a vital part of the experience!

Class information can also be found on brightly colored signs posted at Grace's reception desk each Sunday morning.

New Member Class
In the nine-week Making Disciples Class, participants discuss the Lutheran view of our Christian faith and also learn about Grace Lutheran Church. Topics include worship traditions, the congregation’s ministries, and opportunities for spiritual growth and service at Grace. Anyone interested in joining Grace is welcome. Those who are already Grace members are welcome too!
