In good times and in troubled times, we support one another by praying and being present for one another. These ministries at Grace provide special care in times of need.
A Stephen Minister is a member of our congregation who has been trained to provide distinctively Christian one-on-one supportive care. Those who are hurting receive Christian love and encouragement at times when they may find it difficult to cope with life’s challenges. Read more. UPLIFT Ministry UPLIFT Ministry is a Christian group ministry to individuals experiencing loss in all its forms. Programs include a series of mini-forums on different kinds of life changes and transitions, as well as discussion groups and a "December Blues" worship and lunch gathering. Click here for a 2010-11 UPLIFT schedule. Chronic Illness Ministry Serious illness presents both spiritual and medical challenges. The Chronic Illness Support Group includes individuals with long-term or chronic diseases. They meet monthly for sharing, support, and prayer. Check the church calendar for meeting times. Caregivers Support Group Caring for a family member who is ill or disabled presents challenges for caregivers. This support group meets on the second Friday of the month at Grace, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Led by parish nurse MaryBeth Buschmann, participants in this group learn to reduce stress, communicate feelings, locate helpful resources, and find balance in their lives.
