High School Students
Teen Talk
High school students at Grace meet in the Youth Room every Sunday morning at 9:45 for Teen Talk, an open-ended conversation about life and faith. Guided by Youth Ministry Coordinator James Brooks, teenagers share the highs and lows of their busy lives and learn from each other’s questions and experiences.
Sunday mornings in the Youth Room are also a time to connect with friends. Members of the Youth Choir, directed by Lori Bormet, eat lunch together at 12:15 p.m. and rehearse until 1:30 p.m.
Tuesday Nights
High school kids can come to Grace at 7:00 on Tuesday nights and just hang out. The Youth Room and the gym are open. Teens can play basketball or volleyball, shoot pool, play Ping-Pong, hang out with friends, talk to James--even do homework.
Special Events and the Youth Board
The Youth Board meets on the first Tuesday of the month to plan social and service activities for teens at Grace. All high schoolers are welcome at Youth Board meetings. Fellowship events include anything from breakfast at the local IHOP to trips to Great America. Kids serve by making sandwiches for homeless people, participating in clean-ups, serving lunch at congregation meetings. Bring your ideas and get involved!

ELCA Youth Gathering
Grace youth will be traveling to New Orleans in July 2009 for the triennial ELCA Youth Gathering. Contact James Brooks for more information.
Middle School Students
First Fridays
Social events are held for sixth-graders at 7:00 p.m. on the first Friday of every month. Check the church calendar for more information.
Friday Night Live
Seventh- and eighth-graders meet at 7:00 p.m. on the third Friday of every month for fun and fellowship. Check the church calendar for more information.
Youth Ministry Coordinator
James Brooks, Grace’s Youth Ministry Coordinator, leads the congregation’s ministry to middle and high school students, supported by the members of the congregation’s Young People’s Education Committee. James is a member of the Confirmation Team. He supervises youth events and stays connected to Grace’s teens via Facebook, text message, and cell phone. He’s a friend they can count on for support and guidance. He will remind them of the power of the gospel in their stressed and busy lives.
