Tower Re-Dedication this Sunday during both services
With the restoration work complete, we will rededicate the Grace Church Tower this Sunday during both services. The new electronic carillon will ring from the tower for the first time on Sunday morning, ten minutes before services, and this Sunday only, after the 8:30am service. There will be treats and special souvenirs in the atrium between services.
The project ended up replacing three times more stones than expected. Read more here.
Baptism Festival at 9:45 on Sunday
Grace’s Youth and Family Ministry will host a Baptism Festival during the education hour at 9:45 a.m. on Jan. 11. The theme of the festival is “Sealed by the Spirit, Marked with the Cross,” based on the words spoken in the baptismal service as the pastor makes the sign of the cross on the forehead of the newly baptized. Everyone is invited to join Grace's Sunday School and Confirmation students and their families in the gym for crafts and games related to baptism and the completion of the tower.
Lunch in Fellowship Hall at 11:15 and 12:15. All are invited to Fellowship Hall for lunch after the Baptism Festival. Sandwiches will be served at 11:15 for early worshipers and at 12:15 for those attending the late service.
Baptism is the beginning of new life in Christ. Read more in a message from Elizabeth Eaton, Presiding Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
