Kurt Hendel of the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago is the homilist for Sunday afternoon's Cantata Vespers service.  The cantata is "Lord, as you will, so let it be with me" (BWV 73). The instrumental prelude, orchestral music by Corelli, begins at 3:45 p.m. and there will also be music by Mozart. Soloists for the cantata include Maura Janton Cock, soprano, Christopher Cock, tenor, and Douglas Anderson, baritone. Michael D. Costello directs the Grace Senior Choir and orchestra.

Friday night reception for the Bright Stars Palestinian art exhibit

Grace School joins Lutheran schools across the country in celebrating Lutheran Schools Week, Jan. 27 through Feb. 3. The week's events include a science fair, service projects and Grandparents Day on Wednesday. The glass case in the atrium displays photos and other memorabilia from Grace School history. Look closely--you may see some faces that are still here at Grace!

The School will host an open house for parents of prospective students on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. If you know parents interested in the Grace School, please invite them to visit the school.
