Grace Lutheran Church and School's benevolence budget supports many local, national, and international organizations that do God's work in our world. Meet representatives of many of these organizations at the Benevolence Fair, 9:45 a.m. on Sunday, February 24. Among the 36 not-for-profits represented at the Fair will be several new ministry partners, including Bethel New Life, Concordia Place, Cornerstone Academy, Oak Park and River Forest's Holiday Food and Gift Basket Program, KidzExpress and Navajo Lutheran Mission. Download the Benevolence Handbook to read more.

Bach Cantata Vespers
Sunday afternoon's cantata, “I believe, dear Lord, help my unbelief!” (BWV 109) will be performed by Concordia University’s Kapelle and Chamber Orchestra. The pre-service music is a Bach concerto for three harpsichords, played by Grace Cantor Michael D. Costello, Assistant Cantor Laura Zimmer, and her husband, Dennis Zimmer, Kantor at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Brookfield. In the cantata Bach dramatizes the struggle between faith and doubt in the life of the Christian, particularly in the tenor solos (sung by William Watson). The alto soloist responds with a recitative and aria to say reassuringly, “Get a grip on yourself. . . .The Savior knows those who belong to him.” Pastor Modahl is the homilist. The music begins at 3:45 p.m
