Order Easter flowers by Sunday, March 17
If you would like to order flower to decorate the sanctuary on Easter, please sign-up at the reception desk by Sunday. Use the envelope provided there for your payment. Choose from a variety of plants. You may bring your flowers home after the 11:00 a.m. service on Easter Sunday. We can’t accept orders any later than Sunday, March 17.
Adult Ed this week
The Longevity Seekers, presented by Grace member Ted Anton, professor of English at DePaul University. We’ll take a behind-the-scenes look at the scientists working at the frontier of longevity science, covering the state of the research and the impact it might have on global public health and on ourselves, our families, and our faith communities.
The Sunday Morning Bible Study continues its discussion of the Book of Daniel, led by Bob Jandeska.
Bach St. Matthew Passion is next Sunday at 4:00 p.m.
The musicians of Grace Lutheran Church's Bach Cantata Vespers will present a free performance of J. S. Bach's St. Matthew Passion on Palm Sunday, March 24, at 4:00 p.m. Soloists and orchestral musicians for this performance include some of the best musicians in Chicago.
The presentation of this deeply devotional music is supported by the Christopher Family Foundation, the Sukup Family Foundation, the S. Anita Stauffer Music Endowment Fund, and the Legacy of Grace Endowment, along with individual donors to Grace’s Bach Cantata Vespers series.
Listeners are invited to a reception at the intermission, with hors d'oeuvres and wine. Childcare will be available in the church nursery during the performance. There will be a freewill offering at intermission.
