Adult Ed focuses on "Arts in August"
August Adult Education programs focus on the arts and artists. This Sunday, theologian, storyteller and writer Walter Wangerin, Jr., reflects on the life of faith, weaving stories throughout. Wangerin holds the Emil and Elfriede Jochum University Professorship at Valparaiso University. He is the author of "The Book of the Dun Cow," which won a National Book Award, and "The Book of God."
Other Arts in August programs include Ernie Tiemann discussing the decorative elements in the interior of Grace Church (August 11), Carl Schalk on composing for the church (August 18), and Kathy Brooks on quilting (August 25).
The Sunday morning Bible study group meets in the conference room. Richard Stasack leads the group in a study of the Gospel of Mark.
