LCFS_Backpack.jpgSchool Supplies for Children in Need

Grace's Social Ministry Committee is holding a school supply drive in August for needy children. The committee is collecting supplies for Lutheran Unity East School, Holy Family School and Grace Christian Academy, all located in Chicago. Some suggested items include notebooks, crayons, folders, pens, pencils, magic markers and back packs. Items can be dropped off at the church from Aug. 12 through Sept. 2. All donations will be appreciated.

Lutheran Child and Family Services of Illinois is currently partnering with Staples’ “Kits for Kidz” program to purchase book bags and school supplies for more than 1,000 kids across the state in foster care and community programs. A donation of $25 outfits a child with a new backpack full of markers, pencils notebooks, etc. Click here to make a cash donation.
