Congregation meeting this Sunday, Sept. 21
There will be a regular meeting of the congregation on Sunday, September 21, following the 11:00 a.m. service. A light lunch will be served. Child care is available during the meeting. The agenda includes a report on the appointment of the call committee, a financial report, and reports on the Tower project, Grace School and Youth and Family Ministry. Read congregation president Jeff Wood's recent letter to Grace members here.
New children's bulletins
Sunday School is using a new curriculum in the 2014-15 school year called Whirl, based on the lectionary texts read in worship every Sunday. The materials include children's bulletins that will be available from the ushers each week. White bulletins are geared for pre-readers, green ones for children who can read. They include activities related to the Bible readings and other parts of the service. Crayons are also available from the ushers.
Bake sale on Sunday benefits Amigas Ministry
Proceeds from a bake sale between services this Sunday will help buy Christmas gifts for 4,000 children served by Amigas Ministry in Brazil. Donations of baked goods are appreciated, as are monetary donations. Checks should be made out to Martha Heine, a Grace member who founded the Amigas Ministry.
Come to the Grace in Action Fair in the gym next Sunday, September 28 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., to see all the ways Grace members are involved in the congregation’s mission and ministry. How will you serve at Grace in the coming year?
Flu shots will be available during the Grace in Action Fair. Learn more here.
