GIA_logo_WEB.jpgCome to the Grace in Action Fair this Sunday

Come see all the ways Grace members are involved in the congregation’s mission and ministry at the Grace in Action Fair this Sunday, 9am to 12:30pm in the gym. Visit with other Grace volunteers and discover new ways and new places to serve. Enjoy coffee and treats, too!

Get your flu shot at Grace this Sunday morning

Pharmacists from Walgreens will be in the gym on Sunday morning to administer flu shots. Walgreens will directly bill insurance or Medicare for you, so please bring your cards. Get one, give one! For every flu shot they give from September 2 through October 13, Walgreen’s will donate the equivalent number of shots for others through the United Nations Foundation. Help protect yourself, your loved ones and someone around the world from getting the flu! Learn more here.

New season of Bach Cantata Vespers begins this Sunday

The 44th season of Bach Cantata Vespers begins this Sunday, Sept. 28, with Bach’s festive 1731 cantata “Wir danken dir, Gott, wir danken dir” (We thank you, God, we thank you).

Cantata preview sessions have moved from the Sunday morning Adult Ed hour to Sunday afternoons. Come to the Seminar Room at Grace at 3pm for a presentation from Mark Peters of Trinity Christian College.

New this year is Bach 4 Us, a special program for children age 7-11 that offers fun musical activities from 3:30 to 4:30pm  during the service. Children meet music educator Sharman Galezewski at the reception desk at 3:30 and go to the third-floor Grace School commons for fun and learning about music. The children will come to the sanctuary to listen to the cantata performance and be part of the rest of the service. Childcare is available in the church nursery during cantata services for children under age 7.
