Mia Koehne grew up at Grace Church and School. She now lives in Arizona, where she has a growing career as a Christian singer and songwriter. She returns to Grace for a free concert in Fellowship Hall on Wednesday evening, Oct. 2, at 6:45 p.m. Watch her music video "God Is Good" on YouTube.

Grace's annual Oktoberfest celebration begins at 4:00 p.m. on October 6. You can purchase tickets on Sunday morning in the atrium or at the reception desk during the week. Silent auction items will be on display, open to early bidding, on the Sunday morning of the event. Proceeds benefit the Save the Tower campaign. Read more.

Gently used books needed for Social Ministry book drive

The Social Ministry Committee is holding a fall book drive. Bring gently used and new book donations to the bin in the atrium, Sept. 29–Oct. 13. (No textbooks or reference books). Books will be distributed to Hines Hospital, area children's hospitals, Shining Stars Preschool and Harmony Church.

Bach Cantata season begins this Sunday

Grace's Bach Cantata Vespers begin a new season on Sunday, September 29, with Cantata #130, Herr Gott, dich loben alle wir  (Lord God, we all praise you), composed for St. Michael and All Angels. The prelude at 3:45 is Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 2 in F Major (BWV 1047). Read more.
