Celebrate the harvest with our partner church in Forrest

The 10th Annual Foods Resource Bank Harvest Celebration is planned for this Sunday, October 14, in Forrest, Illinois. Grace partners with three other churches in a Foods Resource Bank Growing Project based in Forrest. Our donations buy seed and fertilizer. The farmers supply the land and labor. The proceeds from the crop support small farmers in developing countries who are pursuing lasting solutions to hunger.

October is a good time to get out of Chicagoland and enjoy the beautiful fall colors. It is also a time to celebrate with other Christians as we give thanks for God’s gifts of food for the hungry. The festival takes place one mile east and a half-mile south of Forrest. Come for the morning worship service at 10:30 a.m. and stay for lunch, children’s activities and hayrack rides. Bring lawn chairs or blankets.
