Faith Perspectives forum discusses health care policy on November 11
Sunday's Faith Perspectives forum at 2:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall looks at the important issue of health care in America. The program begins with a presentation on the strengths and problems of the American health care system from Nicole Kazee, a top administrator at the University of Illinois Hospitals in Chicago. Grace member John Bouman, one of the nation's most effective public benefits advocates, will explain the Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare"). Panelists from Jewish, Catholic, Protestant and Muslim traditions will react from a "faith perspective" in a dicussion moderated by Rick Herman, president of Wheat Ridge Ministries. There will also be opportunities for small group discussions and questions.
So much public discourse these days is heated, polarizing, and devoid of listening. Faith Perspectives programs attempt to provide a place for thoughtful encounters between people of faith. Please come and bring your own faith perspective to the conversation. Read more.
Dwelling in the Word

Pastor Patrick Keifert and Pat Ellison of Church Innovations, a consulting organization in Minneapolis, will lead a workshop at Grace on Dwelling in the Word on Saturday, Nov. 10, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Read more.
