Christmas Concert on Sunday afternoon
"Peace came to earth" is the theme for this year's Advent/Christmas concert at Grace, this Sunday afternoon, December 9, at 4:00 p.m. Grace School's 5-8 choir, the Youth Choir and Joyful Voices will join the Senior Choir, the Adult Handbell Ensemble, and soloists Maura Cock and Douglas Anderson in making music for the season.
There will be a freewill offering. Childcare is available in the church nursery. There is a reception in Fellowship Hall following the concert.
Do you see God’s hand at work in your life? God is up to something in our lives. Whether we’re on the highest hills or in the lowest valleys, God’s grace and mercy preserve us—and continue to preserve us no matter what.
The season of Advent, then, becomes a perfect time to reflect and to thank God. To be like the faithful stewards during biblical times, who made thankofferings each year for everything that had come from God.
Take time to reflect on what this year has meant for you and consider how God has worked in your life. When you're at church, take a look at the pictures drawn by Grace chidren of God's blessings in their lives. Then consider making your Thankoffering as a sign of gratitude for what God has first given you.
(If you make your Advent Thankoffering online please type "Thankoffering" in the box marked "Other.")
