Advent-Christmas Concert: "All My Heart This Night Rejoices"

Join Grace's choirs and handbell ensemble for the annual Advent-Christmas Concert, this Sunday, December 14, 4 p.m. The program includes music by Carl Schalk, Richard Hillert’s “To Jesus Who Is King,” and a setting of a Christmas lullaby by Paul Bouman, as well as Bach Cantata #147, a joyful cantata that contains the familiar chorale setting of “Jesus, Joy of Man’s Desiring.” A reception follows the concert in Fellowship Hall.

Keeping the focus on the gift of Christ Jesus this Christmas

Often it is our own expectations of the perfect holiday that can lead to increased stress and unhappiness at Christmas. Here are some ideas from Grace's Parish Nurse Kim Ramos for a more mindful celebration.  The "December Blues" worship service on Saturday, Dec. 20, at 10:00 a.m. in Grace's church library, will be a time of quiet reflection for those who may be experiencing sadness, loneliness, pain or grief during the holiday season, or for anyone who is seeking peace and quiet during the busy month of December. All are welcome!

Support Grace's Ministries with an Advent Thankoffering

AdventThankoffering_LogoBlue_2014.jpgHow have you been shown God’s love and care in the past year? As we ponder God's peace, patience and promises this Advent season, the Stewardship Committee invites you to make an Advent Thankoffering, a special year-end gift of gratitude in support of Grace’s ministries. Please use the special green envelope from the mailing to make your offering. Extra envelopes can be found in the rack in the narthex and by the reception desk. Or give online (please type Advent Thankoffering in the box marked "Other.")

The end of the tax year on December 31 means that you may have financial reasons for considering a gift of assets at this time. Click here for more information.
