Donate ONE thing on Saturday to help resettle refugees

Grace middle school youth are partnering with RefugeeOne for the Do-ONE-Thing initiative, an effort to collect household goods and cash to help resettle 10 refugee families who have fled war and terror in their homeland  and will build new lives of safety, dignity and self-reliance in Chicago. Grace Church will be a collection site this Saturday, June 21, from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. You’re asked to Do ONE Thing—donate one bottle of dishwashing detergent, give one new bath towel or make a cash donation that will cover the cost of purchasing an item from the collection list. Students will be receiving items in the parking lot south of Grace. You'll find the list of needed items at the RefugeeOne web site.

Celebrate Pastor Faulstich's 10th anniversary of ordination

Pastor Faulstich is celebrating the 10th anniversary of her ordination into the pastoral ministry this month. We will thank God for her ministry among us in our prayers during worship on Sunday. Greet her in the atrium between services, and enjoy a piece of anniversary cake.

Health Cabinet Survey

The Health and Wellness Ministry at Grace, led by our Parish Nurse, Kim Ramos, and the Health Cabinet, is seeking information about the health needs and interests of congregation members. Please take some time to complete the Health and Wellness Ministries Needs Assessment Survey. Copies are also available at the reception desk at Grace. It will take about 15 minutes to complete the survey. Thank you!

OnlineGivingButton.gifEnd-of-year giving

The ministries of Grace Church serve the members of our congregation and our community. These ministries are made possible by your offerings. As we approach the end of our fiscal year on June 30, please consider making a special gift to Grace Church. Our ministry budget relies heavily on end-of-year giving during May and June. In these last weeks of June we need to raise $430,000 to meet our 2013-2014 budget year expenses. Sacrificial gifts, small and large, from every member of Grace, are needed to meet our goal. Thank you for your support of the mission and ministry of Grace Church!
