Faith Promise Sunday is May 7

Grace_Stewardship_VERSE.jpegNext Sunday, May 7, Grace members are asked to make a Faith Promise, a financial pledge to support the ministries of our congregation in the new fiscal year beginning July 1, 2017.

As we prepare for Faith Promise Sunday, the Stewardship Committee has been reminding us of Jesus’ words, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” In a letter mailed to Grace members a few weeks ago, Pastor Dave Lyle wrote, “As God has a heart for the world, so do we have hearts for God’s ministry at Grace.”

DWegner_Stewardship_05_2017.png Talking about this Faith Promise campaign, Pastor Dave Wegner notes that when we practice Christian discipleship, “we wear our hearts on our sleeves and express what it is that we value.”

Giving is part of discipleship. It isn’t just what you do with your money, says Pastor Lauren Wegner. "It’s how you live your life in response to all God has given you."

LWegner_Stewardship_05_2017.pngOn May 7 we invite you to express your values and your financial commitment to Grace Lutheran Church with your Faith Promise pledge. Our goal this year is to increase our pledges from 51% of member households to 60%. Please help us to achieve this goal of regular faithful giving from Grace members.

Thank you for having a heart for God's work here at Grace Lutheran Church and School!
