A huge Thank You to all of our families who contributed chapel offering throughout the first half of our school year.  We raised $1375 for Refugee One!  The second half of the year chapel offerings are being designated for Navajo Christian Preparatory Academy, a Lutheran school on an Indian Reservation in the southwest covering parts of three states.  Mr. Hugh Kress shared about this school during chapel this week, and an information sheet will be coming home in Tuesday folders next week.  Thank you in advance the blessings we can provide organizations in need through our chapel offerings.

The next session of after school enrichment classes has started.  The form can be found on the website and here. The schedule for the Art club class for 2nd & 3rd graders has been changed.  The corrected dates are on the online form.   The Kindergarten Robotics class is now full.  Due to low enrollment the Project Animation class has been cancelled.                               

Is your child participating in Read to Succeed? Six hours of reading can earn SK-6th graders a free ticket to Great America. Student reading logs are due Wednesday, February 1.

A Graceful Evening Wine Donation- We are on our way with collecting bottles of wine for the Graceful Evening Wine Pull, but we still need more!  You can turn in your bottles valued $20 or higher (red, white, rose or bubbly - we take them all) to the front desk at anytime and you can find the forms there to fill out.  Thanks in advance!

4-8 band members will take their yearbook photo Tuesday, January 24 at 8:10am in the music room (immediately following morning band rehearsal). Concert attire for the picture (white on top, black on bottom, boys wear a tie).




Save the date for this year’s Graceful Evening – Saturday, March 18th at the Oak Park Country Club!

Plans are moving along but we could still use your help to make it the best one yet!


Sponsorships. Support from event sponsors helps underwrite the cost of the event and enables funds raised at the benefit to go directly to Grace School. The Gold sponsorship level ($2,500) includes a full table at the event and a full-page ad in the program. Silver ($1,000) includes two tickets and a half-page ad.
Auction items. Every year the generous Grace community comes up with creative and spectacular auction items including tickets to sporting events, time at vacation homes, airline miles, food and wine/beer experiences, spa and hotel experiences, sports memorabilia, handcrafted furniture and other unique items.
Advertising in the program. Business are invited to advertise in the auction booklet, along with individuals or families who want to share messages of support. Costs range from $75 for a quarter-page to $200 for a full page.
Donate a bottle of wine worth $20 or more. The Wine Pull is a popular part of A Graceful Evening. Your donation supports Grace School and makes A Graceful Evening more fun.

The Committee for A Graceful Evening is also looking for volunteers and in-kind donations:
 Photography for the evening of the event
 Flowers and/or floral services for the event’s centerpieces
 Printing of program booklets   

 Volunteer help with set-up, clean-up, check-in, check-out, and other areas as needed

Each year there is specific Fund-A-Need category.  We launched this with the students on Wednesday in chapel (ask them about it).  The theme this year is Fine Arts, which is very fitting for our immensely talented school!  We asked the teachers and faculty to make a wish list – and they did!  This is by far our biggest goal; we are looking to raise $25,000 which will benefit every single student in the school!  Please find the Fund-A-Need wish list here and full descriptions here.  With such a lofty goal we wanted to launch it two months out to see what we can raise before the event even takes place.  Look for us at the talent show bake sale next week and in the atrium on Sundays, or you can donate at any time!  The kids will once again be able to participate in the week leading up to the event so stay tuned for more information on that.  Any and all contributions are greatly appreciated!


This year we will be hosting a trivia night to raise funds and more importantly have fun with our fellow parents on Friday, February 17th here at Grace.  Look for the flyer with all details in the next Tuesday folder.
