Congratulations to our girls and boys cross-country teams on their outstanding performance at the Lutheran State Cross-County Meet. Students representing 26 Lutheran schools from all over the state of Illinois converged on Bloomington last Saturday for the 2 mile races. Our girls team placed 4th overall , our best showing ever! Grace fifth grader, Zawadi Brown, was the fourth girl to finish the race, also our highest finish ever. Our boys team placed 5th, again our best finish ever! Grace seventh grader, Paxton Ferencak, finished 5th overall, our best individual finish ever for boys. By placing in the top 5 at State, both of our teams have qualified for the Lutheran National Cross-Country Meet. Good luck to both teams as they compete tomorrow on the campus of Concordia University-Wisconsin! We are so proud of you!
