Our winter MAP testing begins next week for students in Grades 2-8. One adjustment we have made is that students will be taking some of their exams in their classroom using the iPads. Students have been trained this week on how to use the iPads for the test and have also received test taking strategies and tips. Results will be available at the Parent-Teacher conferences on March 3.

Open House for prospective families is set for Tuesday, Feb 9, 6:30-8:00pm. If you know of anyone interested in Grace Lutheran School for next year, please encourage them to attend.
A GRACEFUL EVENING the annual dinner-auction raises a significant amount of money for Grace School’s operating budget. It’s a fun evening of fellowship that’s important to the school’s financial well-being. We hope you will join us for cocktails (open bar), dinner, the presentation of Distinguished Alumni Awards and the exciting silent and live auctions*. We will also keep the party going after the event with music, activities, drinks and even food from the famous Gene and Jude's! Tickets are available beginning this Sunday, February 7th anytime online and at the front desk, and in the atrium on Sundays. Tickets are $75 each and $700 for a table of ten.
* Just a sample from the auctions: time at vacation homes in Wisconsin, Michigan and Hawaii; classroom projects including the wonderful Kathy Brooks’ JK quilt; tickets and press box experience at Wrigley Field and other sporting event tickets; a collection of great beer, massage packages and so much more! (Please let us know if you have an item or experience to donate).
Even if you cannot attend the event, we hope you will support the special Fund-A-Need auction with a donation. Proceeds from the Fund-A-Need will be used to buy science, technology, engineering and math equipment for all grade levels! This year we will even have an opportunity to donate before the event as well as online through the auction site- more details to come!!
Thanks for your support!
