March 18, 2016

We had a great time last Saturday at A Graceful Evening.  What a wonderful way to fellowship while raising funds for our school!  While we don’t yet know the total amount raised, we know that our goal for the STEM Fund-a-Need was met.  Thanks to everyone who contributed to this worthy cause and an extra special thank you to Becky Morgan, Jennifer Brayton, and Randy Keller for their amazing work organizing this event!

Today, families with 2nd-8th graders will receive an email with a link to a five question survey regarding MAP test delivery.  Please take two minutes to complete this with your child.  The only identifying information is a student’s grade level.  If you have more than one child in 2nd-8th grade, please fill it one out for each one of them.  You can find the link here as well as in a separate email you will receive.

VBS this Summer! – June 20-23 - Send your kids on an over-the-top underground adventure! Grace Lutheran Church and School, along with Village Church of Oak Park, will host Cave Quest VBS, where kids explore the rock-solid foundation of Jesus’ love. Cave Quest VBS is filled with incredible Bible-learning experiences kids see, hear, touch, and even taste! Science fun, team-building games, cool Bible songs, and tasty treats are just a few of the standout activities that help faith flow into real life. (Since everything is hands-on, kids might get a little messy. Be sure to send them in play clothes and safe shoes.) Plus, we’ll help kids discover how to see evidence of God in everyday life—something we call God Sightings. Get ready to hear that phrase a lot! Your kids will also participate in a hands-on mission project, through a program called Operation Kid-to-Kid™ that will let the kids in our community show God’s mighty love to needy kids in the United States. Parents, grandparents, and friends are invited to join us at Cave Quest Closing on Thursday at 7:45pm, to celebrate Jesus—the light of the world!

The fun starts at 5:30pm with supper and will end at 8:00pm.
Registration will open in April! Make sure you register your children for this life-changing adventure! Please email Julie Modrich with any questions.
