Now is the time to order your tickets for A Graceful Evening!  The dinner-auction is next weekend and ticket sales close Sunday evening.  If you still need to purchase tickets you can click here to do it online, or stop by the table between services at Grace on Sunday morning.  The event is lots of fun and raises great money for our school.  Please join us!

Good luck to our girls basketball team as they compete in the Lutheran State Basketball tournament this weekend.  Their first game is tomorrow at 1:15 at Trinity Lutheran School, Roselle.  We will keep you up to date throughout the weekend with results as well as upcoming game times and locations so you can go support the team.   Go Vikings!

Character Education Goal of the Week:  Citizenship

Help Beaker Fill Our Beakers!!!

As you know we have added a new element to A Graceful Evening this year as part of the Fund-A-Need.  It is an opportunity to donate to preschool through eighth grade classroom wish lists online and in person before the event—a way for people who are even unable to attend to contribute to the fundraising effort. Even a modest donation helps support classroom learning, by purchasing needed equipment for science, technology, engineering and math.  As of today we are just over the halfway mark of our $6,000 goal.  We and the students of Grace are very thankful to all of you that have donated.  But speaking of the students, now it’s their turn!  Today in school they learned about the Fund-A-Need project and some of the individual items that they could potentially get to use in their own classrooms.  They were so excited about the possibility that we want to get them involved in the process.  For the whole next week (March 7-11) each classroom will have a beaker for the kids to put money in.  We are channeling the old school Muppets and want the character Beaker to inspire the students to fill their beaker.  He will be travelling around from room to room checking in on the progress.  Bring a penny, bring a quarter, bring a dollar – it all helps the cause!  There is no competition between classrooms, it is a time for the entire school community to come together to support Grace and our STEM curriculum.  For more information please click here to learn about “Help Beaker Fill the Beaker” or for the individual class wish lists please click here.

Thank you again for your support, we hope to see you at A Graceful Evening!
