Here are a couple notes regarding the beginning and end of the school day. First, a reminder that supervision in the atrium does not begin until 7:45am each morning. Students that arrive before this time may be sent to the Extended Day Care room which involves a daily charge. If you wish for your child to walk home or any other location after school, please send a note or email to the school office giving your child permission to do this. Thank you for your attention to these two matters.

Hope to see you there!
The After School Enrichment Program will begin its fall session the week of September 12. This season includes several exciting options covering a range of topics in 4-, 6- or 8-week sessions. Check out all class offerings described here or under Parent Quick Links on the school website. The Mindstorms Robotics class has been cancelled due to low enrollment.
PARENTS NEEDED! The Safe Practices Policy at Grace Lutheran Church and School requires that two adults be present whenever an instructor who is not a Grace teacher is working with students. For the Fall 2016 enrichment session, we could use help implementing this policy for several of the after school classes. If you are willing to accompany all 8 weeks of your child’s enrichment class, we can offer a $40 discount off the class fee ($20 discount for a 4-week class). Active participation in the class is neither expected nor required. Please contact Eileen Maggio (firstname.lastname@example.org) to confirm your discount before final payment.
Enrichment classes fill up quickly! Classes will be filled on a first-come-first-serve basis. The registration deadline is Friday, September 9, 2016.

Readers Bingo has started! Bingo cards were sent home with 1st – 8th grade students last week. Anyone who gets Bingo by reading books that fit the squares between August 30 and November 2 is invited to a Bingo party in the school library. Students who complete the entire card will receive a special prize.
If you haven’t signed your child up for a birthday book, you may still do so. Letters were sent home in the Tuesday folder and may be downloaded from the library web site at http://gracelmc.org/Bbook.pdf. Thank you for your support of our Grace School library.
