Dear Members of Grace,
Throughout the school year, our sixth through eighth grade congregation members gather for weekly instruction, study, and application of Scripture and Luther’s Small Catechism. During the month of June, they gather for a Summer Intensive, four nights of study and fellowship centered, in alternate years, on the Lutheran tradition or Holy Scriptures.
What do you know? What do you think? What do you do?
These three questions guide the Confirmation ministry here at Grace. They help us remember and learn that our lives as Christians aren’t just about the knowing and thinking, but also about the doing.
We know that God created everything and trusts humanity to take care of it. We might think this is an awesome task. And then we begin to ponder ways we actively care for God’s handiwork and give back in gratitude for all God has created and entrusted to us.
Such study and questions aren’t just for Confirmation students, but for all of us as we pass on and live out our faith in God who has given us so very much. Thank you for your support of mission and ministry here at Grace Lutheran Church and School. Please continue to pray for our confirmands and in response to God's many blessings, consider giving an extra gift to Grace during the month of June.
