Goals of Grace School
God placed responsibilities upon the Church and parents in the words of
Deuteronomy 6:6-7: "Keep these words that I am commanding you today in
your heart. Recite them to your children." And in Proverbs 22:6, "Train
children in the right way, and when old, they will not stray." From
these verses flow our goals for children at Grace School:
Giving--To instill Christian attitudes and
conduct through the Word and Sacraments toward a sanctified life of
Christian service to God and humankind.
Respectful--To guide in honest, useful
Christian citizenship grounded in obedience to God and the Word.
Achieving--To develop a growing
knowledge of the Triune God through the diligent study of the Word and also
to provide an integrated program of Christian education in all
academic areas, designed to meet the individual needs of every child
Caring--To foster Christian fellowship
as one of the powerful factors in building character and training in
Christian living and also to provide opportunities for all members of the
community to provide care for each other and for neighbors, both near and far.
Extended Family--To provide reinforcement
of the values of the Christian home and to provide a place for the
growth and development of strong long-lasting relationships; to encourage
regular church and worship experiences, family and personal devotions and
witnessing for Christ.
